Advocacy
In order to preserve the legacy of Rev. Sullivan, the Foundation engages in public and government advocacy in support of the domestic and international issues that were important to him and on behalf of the organizations he created. Although the issues range from housing and equal employment rights in the Unite States to a system of fair international trade for Africa, like the Reverend, the Foundation has one bottom line objective: to give a voice to those who are locally, nationally or internationally marginalized.

Corporate Social Responsibility
In addition to his passion for Africa, Rev. Sullivan, first as a Philadelphia-based preacher and later as a member of the board of General Motors, fought corporate behavior that discriminated against workers on the basis of their race, or abused human and labor rights. His contribution to the divestment campaign in South Africa through the promotion of the Sullivan Principles led to the creation of the Global Sullivan Principles of Corporate Social Responsibility or the GSP. Today, the GSP is a Foundation program that continues to attract private and civil society endorsers.
