Jackson Kelly PLLC Hosts Seminar On The Global Sullivan Principles
Charleston, WV (March 8, 2007) - On March 28, 2007, Jackson Kelly PLLC, in conjunction with The Leon H. Sullivan Foundation, will present a seminar on “The Global Sullivan Principles.” The purpose of this seminar is to promote and teach The Global Sullivan Principles to business professionals, community leaders, and educators who interact with individuals from a myriad of countries, cultures, and backgrounds. The Principles “call on businesses to support economic, social and political justice where they do business . . . thereby, helping to improve the quality of life for communities, workers and children with dignity and equality.”

The Global Sullivan Principles were created by the Charleston, WV- born Reverend Leon H. Sullivan. Reverend Sullivan was an American civil rights advocate who battled discrimination in America and helped to dismantle apartheid in South Africa. The Global Sullivan Principles have been endorsed by hundreds of domestic and international companies such as General Motors, Coca Cola and Proctor & Gamble.
The seminar will be held from 3pm-5pm on March 28th at the offices of Jackson Kelly PLLC in Charleston, WV. It will be of value for senior management at West Virginia companies or organizations with foreign operations or subsidiaries, companies that import or export goods or services, and U.S. subsidiaries of foreign businesses.
